Yes. The SRE has an official appointment portal where users can review information about their scheduled procedures, including the date, time, assigned office, and folio number.
It is also possible to manage modifications or cancellations from the same platform.
How to check a passport appointment
To verify the details of an already scheduled appointment, follow these steps:
Go to the official SRE appointment portal: citas.sre.gob.mx.
Log in with the information you used when booking the appointment, such as your email address, password, and in some cases, your CURP.
Access the appointment inquiry section.
Review the available information, which includes:
- Fecha de la cita.
- Hora asignada.
- Oficina de pasaportes donde serás atendido.
- Número de folio del trámite.
It is recommended to save or print the confirmation to present it on the day of the appointment.
How to reschedule a passport appointment?
If a work, family, or health commitment arises that prevents you from attending, you can change the date without having to go to an office in person.
Step-by-step to reschedule the appointment
- Entra al portal oficial de citas de la SRE.
- Inicia sesión con tus datos de acceso.
- Ubica la cita vigente en tu panel de usuario.
- Selecciona la opción"Reprogramar".
- Elige una nueva fecha y horario entre los espacios disponibles.
- Confirma los cambios.
- Descarga o guarda la nueva confirmación de la cita actualizada.

How to cancel a passport appointment?
When you no longer need the appointment or cannot attend, the SRE recommends canceling it to free up the space and allow another person to take it.
The steps are:
- Acceder a citas.sre.gob.mx.
- Iniciar sesión con tu cuenta.
- Entrar al apartado de consulta de citas.
- Seleccionar la opción"Cancelar".
- Confirmar la cancelación cuando el sistema lo solicite.
- Tras completar este procedimiento, la cita dejará de aparecer en tu cuenta.
Other ways to manage passport appointments
In addition to the web portal, the SRE allows scheduling appointments through other official channels. Currently, it is possible to:
Book appointments using a LlaveMX account.
Request appointments via email for certain users without a CURP.
Use the WhatsApp service enabled by the agency to start the process from your cell phone.
Recommendations for the day of the appointment
The SRE advises arriving approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled time and bringing all required documentation in its original form, as having an appointment does not automatically guarantee the issuance of the passport. The documents will be reviewed by the appropriate staff before authorizing the process.
Likewise, appointments are personal and non-transferable, so it is important to verify in advance that the registered data is correct and that you can attend on the selected date.
